Registration

• Role based balance: If you register as single dancer, we will do our best to pair you up with someone. 
• If you register as a couple you may register in different levels.
• Registration is binding.
• Allstars and champions registrations. The first 16 will be elegiable for a free pass for judging and participation in the welcoming dance on friday as a counter performance.
• If you register for a higher level than your WSDC number states, you will automatically be transfered to your actual level in classes. (Though it is possible to register for a lower level if you want to attend these classes instead). 
• There will be a possibility to try out for a higher level at the event. Please respect the pro:s judgments.
• Pass winners, please register and write as a comment that you are a pass winner and from which event. If this is not possible, e-mail us these details instead. If you have a partypass, you can upgrade this to a full pass for 600 SEK.
• According to the new data protection law within the EU (GDPR), we need your personal information and consent to allow us to use digital services such as sending information about the event to you, individual offers etc. You always have the right to see what information that has been stored about yourself in our registers. If you want to know this just email us.
• There will be filming and photographing at the event. Some of these might be published publicly on the Internet. If you do NOT want your picture to be public, please tell the photographer at that time.
• By buying a ticket you consent to, and are aware of, that your picture might be published on the internet.

Payments

• Once you have been accepted in to the event, you will recieve an email in regards to this. Always check your spam folder.
• To confirm your registration and save your spot you are eligable to pay within 30 days (14 days from januari 1 2024) of recieveing your payment instructions via e-mail othervise Valentine Swing reserves the right to move you to the waiting list. Note that a purchase of a ticket is binding until payment has been done. If you need more time to pay, just contact us.
• International payments are to be made by card payment. Payments within Sweden by card or BG.

Refund policy

• Tickets are non refundable
• You can transfere your ticket but only in the same dance role. Leaders by leaders and followers by followers. 
• Level changes in transfers is only possible if there is a spot available.Contact us to check this before you transfer your ticket.
• Always contact us with information about a transfer with your name, registration and the new participants name when transfering a ticket. 
• If you present a medical certificat that you got a sudden illness just before the event, your ticket can be transfered to the next years event or your fee will be payed back if you prefer that.

Good to know

• Hotel regulations: Ouside food is not permitted in the lounge area per hotel policy, but may be eaten in your rooms.
• Alkohol policy in Sweden: It is not permitted to bring alcohol outside of the bar area (the bar room). This is government regulation and inspections are made regularly. Please respect this or the hotel might loose their licence.
• Video recordings and photography is welcome during contests. Video recordings are restricted during workshops and up to the instructors so please ask them before hand if you want to film during a lecture. Good Internet etiquette stipulates that you get permission from people in the picture if you want to publish identifiable photos.
• The event has an official photographer, IF you do not want to be in a picture or have the pictures published online, please tell this to the photographer.
• If you are unable to attend the event your ticket is transferable. Please see  registration above.
• Competition refunds may be done before the registration closes. No refunds are made there after.
• No foreign substance such as (but not limited to) wax may not be used on your shoes on the dance floors.
• Your wristband tickets must be worn at all times.
• Valentine Swing reservers the right to change instructors if necessary
• Valentine Swing reservers the right to change and adjust the schedule if necessary

• Disclaimer: You are entering into an event with physical activities and you understand the risks that this entails. Therefore you agree on not holding Valentine Swing or any of its representatives responsible for any liabilities whichi might occur through accidents or illnesses.
• Disclaimer: The staff and hotell staff reserves the right to warn and /or remove any person who represents potential harm or danger to themselves or any person around them during the event.
• Disclaimer: Neither Valentine Swing nor the hotel is responsible for any loss or damage to items. Therefore please ensure that you have adequate personal insurance to cover expenses that might arise.

GENERAL rules for participants

• Exhibit good Sportmanship over all
• Be respectful towards the staff, your fellow dancers, partner and competitors
• Be mindful towads your dance partner during your dances and take care of each other
• Check in 15 min before your competition with the marshalling
• And most important of all, - Have fuuuun! :-)
