• Role balance: If you register without a partner, we will do our best to match you with another dancer.
• If you register as a couple, you may compete at different levels.
• Registrations are binding and non-refundable.
• If you register in the wrong division (International or Nordic), your registration will automatically be adjusted to the appropriate pricing tier.
• All-Star and Champion registrations: The first 16 registered dancers will be eligible for a complimentary full pass in exchange for judging
• If you register for a level above your current WSDC eligibility, you will automatically be moved to the appropriate class level. You may, however, choose to attend classes at a lower level.
• Auditions for placement in a higher class level will be available during the event. The instructors' decisions are final.
• If you have won a pass from another event, please register as usual and indicate in the comments section which event awarded the pass. If this is not possible, please email us the details. Party Pass winners may upgrade to a Full Pass for 800 SEK.
• In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we collect and process personal data necessary to manage your registration and communicate important event information. You have the right to request access to the personal data we store about you, as well as to request corrections or deletion where applicable. If you have any questions regarding your personal data, please contact us by email.
• Photography and video recording will take place throughout the event. Images and recordings may be published on our website and social media channels. If you prefer not to appear in published material, please inform the photographer or a member of the event staff.
•  By attending the event, you acknowledge that photography and video recording may take place. If you do not wish to appear in published material, please notify the event staff.

Payments

• Once you have been accepted to the event, you will receive an email with payment instructions. Please remember to check your spam or junk mail folder. 
• To confirm your registration and secure your spot, payment must be received within 30 days of receiving the payment instructions. If payment is not received within this period, Valentine Swing reserves the right to move you to the waiting list. If you need additional time, please contact us.
• International participants may pay by credit/debit card. Participants within Sweden may pay by credit/debit card or bank transfer.

Refund policy

• Tickets are non-refundable. 
• Tickets may be transferred to another participant in the same dance role only (leaders to leaders and followers to followers).
• Level changes are subject to availability. Please contact us before transferring your ticket if the new participant wishes to compete or attend classes at a different level.
• When transferring a ticket, please email us the name of the original participant, the registration details, and the name of the new participant.
• If you are unable to attend due to a sudden illness and can provide a valid medical certificate, you may choose either: 

                         - to transfer your ticket to the following year's event, or

                         - to receive a refund of your ticket fee.

Good to know

• Hotel policy: Outside food is not permitted in the lounge areas but may be consumed in guest rooms.
• Alcohol policy: In accordance with Swedish regulations, alcoholic beverages may only be consumed in designated bar areas. Bringing alcohol outside the bar area is not permitted. Please respect these rules, as violations may affect the venue's license.
• Photography and video recording are welcome during competitions. Recording during workshops is subject to each instructor's approval. Please ask for permission before filming a class. If you wish to publish photos or videos featuring identifiable individuals, please obtain their consent first.
• An official event photographer will be present throughout the weekend. If you do not wish to appear in photographs or have photos published online, please inform the photographer or a member of the event staff.
• If you are unable to attend, your ticket may be transferred in accordance with our transfer policy. Please see the Registration section for details.
• Competition registration fees may be refunded until competition registration closes. No refunds will be issued after that date.
• Substances such as wax, powder, or other floor-altering products may not be applied to shoes or the dance floor.
• Event wristbands must be worn and visible at all times.
• Valentine Swing reserves the right to replace instructors if necessary 
• Valentine Swing reserves the right to make changes to the schedule, workshops, competitions, or event program when required.
• Disclaimer: You are entering into an event with physical activities and you understand the risks that this entails. Therefore you agree on not holding Valentine Swing or any of its representatives responsible for any liabilities whichi might occur through accidents or illnesses.
• Disclaimer: The staff and hotell staff reserves the right to warn and /or remove any person who represents potential harm or danger to themselves or any person around them during the event.
• Disclaimer: Neither Valentine Swing nor the hotel is responsible for any loss or damage to items. Therefore please ensure that you have adequate personal insurance to cover expenses that might arise.

GENERAL rules for participants

• Show good sportsmanship both on and off the dance floor.
• Treat staff, instructors, DJs, fellow dancers, partners, and competitors with respect.
• Be considerate of your dance partners and help create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
• Check in with the marshalling team at least 15 minutes before your competition.
• Most importantly: Dance, connect, and have fun! :-)
